Sea of Thieves is Rare's open-world pirate simulation and cooperative adventure game. Players crew their own ships (from a single-person sloop to a 4-person galleon), freely moving between treasure hunting, fighting sea monsters, exploring islands, and engaging in naval combat against other player crews. Its cartoonish, vibrant visual style and fully shared world (everyone on the same servers) make the game unique — at any moment you might encounter another player's ship and engage in either a friendly or hostile interaction. 'Tall Tales' story campaigns added over time and seasonal content updates have turned it into a live-service game.
