Lies of P is Round8 Studio's Soulslike action-RPG inspired by the Pinocchio story, set in a dark, gothic Belle Époque-style city called Krat. Players control P, a puppet who dreams of becoming human, trying to find his creator Geppetto amid a mysterious plague and out-of-control puppets overrunning the city. The game adopts a challenging combat system clearly inspired by FromSoftware's Souls series (dodging/parrying, stamina management), while standing out with its own distinctive weapon assembly system (mixing and matching different handles and blade parts) and a 'lying' mechanic where the player's dialogue choices affect the story and its ending. With surprisingly high production quality and challenging but fair design, it's considered one of the most successful new entries in the Soulslike genre.
