Helldivers 2 is Arrowhead Game Studios' third-person cooperative shooter. Squads of 2-4 players fight for Super Earth's managed democracy against alien Terminid bugs and robotic Automatons. It's known for its dark, propaganda-satire presentation, chaotic squad gameplay where friendly fire deals real damage, and its strategic orbital/air-support calling system (Stratagems), making it both tense and genuinely funny. Its simultaneous 2024 PS5 and PC launch was one of PlayStation's first major same-day cross-platform releases.
