World of Warcraft is Blizzard Entertainment's defining MMORPG, in service since 2004. Set in the fantasy world of Azeroth, the game lets players create a character from various races (Human, Orc, Elf, Undead, and more) and classes (Warrior, Mage, Priest, and others), then participate in side quests, dungeons, raids, and massive PvP battles. Expansions released over the years (The Burning Crusade, Wrath of the Lich King, Cataclysm, and most recently The War Within) have continuously expanded the game world, adding new races, classes, and story arcs. With an active player base for over 20 years, WoW set the standard for the MMO genre's cultural and commercial success.
