Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered, developed by Insomniac Games, is an action-adventure game starring an experienced Peter Parker. Eight years into his career protecting New York as Spider-Man, Parker must contend with both a sinister crime syndicate and the challenges of his personal life, including work, relationships, and his history with Mary Jane. The game's most acclaimed feature is its web-swinging traversal system through the city's skyscrapers, powered by physics that feel realistic while delivering fluid, satisfying freedom of movement. The open-world New York is packed with crime-prevention activities, side stories, and a campaign featuring well-known Spider-Man villains like Kingpin, Vulture, Electro, and Rhino. Its combat system is a fluid 'free-flow' style inspired by the Batman: Arkham series but carving its own identity through acrobatic movement and web-based gadgets. The PC version, titled Remastered, adds ray-traced reflections and DLSS support to the original PS4 release, and includes all episodes of the City That Never Sleeps expansion. The game lays the groundwork for Insomniac's take on this universe ahead of its sequel, Spider-Man 2.
