Battlefield 1

Battlefield 1 is DICE's first-person shooter that made a major departure from the series' traditional modern/futuristic settings to return to World War I. The game focuses on the human dimension of war through a series of short 'War Stories' campaigns with separate narratives set on different fronts (France, Italy, Arabia, Ottoman territories). Its multiplayer mode primarily offers massive 64-player maps, period-appropriate vehicles like horses, tanks, planes, and zeppelins, and large-scale, multi-map 'Operations' battle modes. Destructible environments, dynamic weather (like sandstorms), and a slower, heavier combat pace suited to era-appropriate weapons set it apart from other COD-style shooters.
