GTA: San Andreas — Definitive Edition is Rockstar's remaster package adapting the 2004 classic San Andreas to modern resolutions and control schemes (part of the GTA Trilogy). CJ's story, returning to Los Santos after his mother's death to protect his neighborhood and family from gang wars and corrupt police, is preserved with its original voice acting and script. Improved lighting, character models, and modern aiming options were added, though the release faced criticism over visual and technical issues, partially fixed through subsequent patches. It still offers access to one of the series' largest-map, most content-rich classic titles.
