  • RAM type: Does the motherboard support DDR4 or DDR5? They're physically different and not interchangeable.
  • Case form factor: The motherboard (ATX, mATX, ITX) must fit the chosen case.
  • PSU wattage: Choose a power supply above the GPU manufacturer's recommended minimum wattage — leaving 100-150W of headroom over the recommendation is generally safe.
  • CPU cooler height: Especially in small cases, make sure an air cooler will actually fit.

3. Tools you'll need

  7. Install the GPU into the PCIe slot — push until you hear it click into place.
  8. Connect storage (SSD/HDD).

5. Install the operating system
