Horizon Forbidden West is Guerrilla Games' sequel to Horizon Zero Dawn, continuing Aloy's story into new dangerous lands spanning America's west coast (present-day California and Nevada regions). With red sandstorms, underwater exploration zones, and more complex and varied machine designs, the expanded game world offers a far richer exploration experience than its predecessor. Aloy's new weapon and ability set — diving gear for underwater exploration, a glider for aerial traversal, and a more advanced melee combat system — adds depth to combat. A new mysterious threat endangering humanity's survival brings Aloy together with old and new allies. The PC version, arriving later than the original, comes with improved textures and higher resolution support.
